HistoryLink.org is the FREE, online encyclopedia of Washington state history. Its articles, walking tours, timeline, and other features offer a multitude of ways to learn about the people, events, and places that have shaped our state and its communities.
Writing and editing articles, making technical improvements to HistoryLink.org and HistoryLink.Tours, and communications to increase awareness of the resources available on our sites.
We have nearly 8,000 articles on HistoryLink and we need your support to continue improving our platforms - we would like to add a text translation function to the site to make it more accessible to visitors who speak a different first language than English, we'd like to improve our search function to make it easier for visitors to find the stories they are looking for, and we will continue to add new stories. Our focus in the coming year is on LGBTQ+, music, wine, and radio history (2022 is the centennial of the first radio broadcasts in Washington!).
