BirdNote is an independent, nonprofit media company dedicated to inspiring people to care about birds and the natural world we share with them -- and take steps to protect it. For the last 15 years, BirdNote has been pursuing an improbable mission: bringing the stories of birds, and the people who care about their future, right to your home. Listeners around the world tell us that these vivid, sound-rich stories about birds and the challenges they face inspire them. They come away refreshed from the hustle of a busy life and encouraged to take action to protect our natural world. In the same way we fill our birdfeeders and groom our gardens to provide for our feathered friends, BirdNote is sustained by the generous support of our listeners.

Birthday Dreams

Birthday Dreams a not-for-profit organization that believes that every child deserves to be celebrated no matter their economic or housing situation. Homeless families are provided with everything they need to have a birthday party. Including: wrapped personalized gifts, cake with their name on it, themed decorations, cups/plates/silverware, juice, parity goodie bags and more. Their goal is that children can have one day of normalcy -- a chance to just be a kid during a chaotic and unstable time in their lives. Since 2009, they have celebrated over 10,000 children. Without Birthday Dreams they would have been overlooked on their special day.

Book-It Repertory Theatre

Please consider supporting Book-It Repertory Theatre's Arts Education Program. Our programming reaches over 50,000 students, educators and parents every year and has been recognized by Seattle Public Schools and funded by the National Endowment for the Arts. The Arts Education Program is now in its 22nd year of operation and has steadily grown into one of the largest and widest-reaching arts programs offered in Washington State, and the only one dedicated to exploring the theatre-literacy link. We are also currently the only theatre company offering bilingual programs serving elementary school students in Eastern Washington. As we start to return to schools, libraries, and community centers statewide, we are thrilled to continue providing a relationship between youth and literature that promotes the joy of reading, enhances student and teacher learning, and inspires the imagination. Your donation will go further as a Microsoft Alumni Network member.
